2014 Annual Meeting Minutes

The annual meeting of the members of Oxford Park Community was held on July 8, 2014 at 7pm in the Oxford Park clubhouse.



22 members, including all nine board members, were present. Property Manager Jim Pzynski was present.


Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 7:10pm. President Todd Cherry was the chair.


Proof of Notice

Proof of sending notice of the annual meeting to the members was read by Secretary Barbara Sladek


Approval of Minutes

The minutes of the 2013 Annual Meeting were adopted.


Directors' Remarks

Treasurer Will Rees reported on the past year's receipts, regular and project expenditures, the reserve fund and the budget, with a $5.00 monthly common charge increase adopted by the Board of Directors at its June 10, 2014 meeting. Mr. Rees responded to questions. The members discussed ideas for reducing expenses and expressed concerns about maintenance and repair items.


Budget Vote

Motion was made by President Todd Cherry to reject the budget adopted by the Board of Directors. The motion was seconded. Votes were cast by ballot. Twenty-six votes were cast in total. Eighty-one votes in favor were required to approve the motion and reject the budget. Six votes, including four votes by proxy, were in favor. Twenty votes were opposed. The motion to reject being lost, the budget was ratified by the members.


Election of Board Members

Nominations were made and closed for two of three open positions on the Board of Directors. Votes were cast by ballot. Jim Drewiecki and Jeremy Nedelka were unanimously re-elected to three year terms. The third position, having no nominee, was left vacant.


New Business

Discussion of sidewalk maintenance, tree removal, solar panels on units and additional items. "No Smoking" signs will be posted in the pool area. Management will look into adding a second railing to the front porch at 6 Watch Hill Circle.



The meeting adjourned at 8:36pm.
